Julie, Liz, Sheila, Monica & Lian!
In 2001, Lian Dolan and her four real sisters debuted on public radio with their show Satellite Sisters. The show instantly connected with women who appreciated the humor, respect and fun that women, especially sisters, have when talking about their lives. In 2003, Satellite Sisters moved to ABC Radio, broadcasting live 6 days a week and winning over a million listeners a week.
Conversations on the air included everything from interviews with world leaders to what to wear to an ex-boyfriend’s wedding. Over the last ten years, Satellite Sisters has grown to include a website, blog, magazine column in O, the Oprah magazine, and a book called Satellite Sister UnCommon Senses. As part of the Satellite Sisters, Lian has done numerous TV appearances, from CBS Sunday Morning to The Oprah Winfrey Show and many public appearances. Satellite Sisters has garnered more Gracie Allen Awards for Excellence in Womens Media than any other radio show. Satellite Sisters is now distributed online at iTunes where it is a top-rated podcast.
